JEFF WOODALL NEWS

Feel free to pop by for a listen and comment away if you wish!
PRESS RELEASE
"Television media is an excellent source for documenting past historical events in retrospect and whether you are watching historic events unfold on the network news in your country or during a documentary, this opportunity to view the human triumphs along with the atrocities allows the viewer to reach their own conclusions for what they have witnessed. The song video of My Isolation from Jeff's Chasing Shadows album becomes the media sensation that truly reflects the very best and the worst of past historic events in retrospect while inviting the viewer to draw their own conclusions. I am almost certain this particular video is one of the more extraordinary works out of the many he has produced. Chasing Shadows is an earlier Electronic, Ambient and Chill Out release from Jeff, and like his prior albums Free Diving, Osmosis & Afterworld, are a relaxing and introspective indulgence into ambient New Age music that borders into Experimental realms at times. "  John P. Olsen, http://www.newagemusicworld.com

A NEW SHOW FROM YOURS TRULY

I'll be introducing a new programme on www.oneworldradio.org.uk beginning this Sunday, September 25, at 4 pm (UK time). The show is called "Atmospheres" and will air for one hour. There will be the usual great EM (unbiased, of course) but a slight difference to "Sunday Synth" will be that each week I'll be concentrating on one specific style (this week it's Space Music).

This new show does not affect "Sunday Synth" in any way, which will continue as normal.

So, instead of 2 hours of me there's going to be 3!!

I hope you can join me for one, if not both, programmes.

NEW RELEASES WORTH CHECKING OUT

A concept triple CD of ambient/space music inspired by the electronic music of the late 70s.You can find out more from Michael, himself, on YouTube.
A purely electronic expression of five long-form pieces that blend ambient sound design with rhythmic electronics and a mixture of synthesized sonics, both melodic and cerebral.
Premonition Factory (Sjaak Overgaauw, The Netherlands) is a self-taught musician, currently living in Antwerp, Belgium. The music of Premonition Factory has been classified as ambient, with a touch of experimental and avant-garde.
Just released. A New Age album that is a cut above the rest in the genre.
Arguably one of Salva Moreno's best yet!
"Ancient Wisdom" is the new work of Psicodreamics inspired by Celtic myth and the wisdom of the ancients.
This new collection from Xan Alexander, one half of the synth music group The Omega
Syndicate, features his usual blend of atmospheric ambience mixed with high energy
sequences and solos, alongside more experimental material.

THE GLIMMER ROOM NEWS

NEW ALBUM STARTED
These past few weeks I have been really busy trying to get a spark for the new Glimmer Room album, to be honest it has been a bit of a struggle to get into as I have not written any new TGR music since A Diary Of Occurrences, but I think I am getting there. I am aiming for a follow up to 'Diary' with this one, as to me 'Diary' feels like a bit of a general overview of the whole Borley story and I want to focus on some finer details starting with the house itself. I am not sure as to just how this is going to work out as I have never started an album with such a defined idea of what I want to achieve with it.
DIARY OF OCCURRENCES
This has been getting some really encouraging radio play the last month or so.
Echoes, Galactic Travels, Secret Music and Stars End in the States
ARFM here in the UK
Ultima Thule in Australia.
It also has featured in various podcasts including Astreaux World, Musiczeit, Magnatune.
PARALLEL  SUN
Some of you might be aware that I also am a member of Parallel Sun alongside OJ from The Jupiter 8, we perform a semi-improvised prog'ish brand of electronic music. Anyway we are currently about 2 thirds through the recording of our first album 'Room 15' so that is keeping me very busy as well.

SOME MORE CLASSIC ALBUMS

Here's a few more albums that so impressed me when I first became aware of electronic music.
